To Read Now: “The Ship” by Stephen Sturgeon

2 Apr

If you loved Stephen Sturgeon’s beautiful, brilliant debut poetry book, Trees of the Twentieth Century, then you need to check out this excerpt at elimae from a new, longer work called “The Ship.” Here’s a bit to whet your appetite:

The letters I have written to the world
while traveling in this boat
contain the same message more often than not
The world is terrifying
and this boat is not much better
but it is better.
