2081: an Independent Short Film based on Vonnegut’s “Harrison Bergeron”

28 Nov

I saw a trailer for this short film years ago, followed along while the makers tried to release it in a variety of ways, and was psyched when they finally released it on DVD a couple years ago. With a story by Vonnegut, and a score performed by the Kronos Quartet, it’s pretty hard to go wrong.

I know it’s a little out of the ordinary to vouch a short film here, but given the literary ties to Vonnegut, I think it’s warranted. Check it out.

There are a number of ways to watch it. I think there are even full versions of it on Youtube, but as always, I’m always a proponent of supporting independent artists, so if you’ve the spare change, I recommend snagging a legit copy somehow, whether through Amazon, iTunes, or whatever.
