The New Harp & Altar is Very, Very Good

7 Dec

Especially this fabulous story by Rob Stephenson. It reminds me, in an odd, quiet, desperate, bombed-out cathedral-way, of David Jones’ In Parenthesis. And I suppose what is war but a prison of sorts, a chemical cell? Perhaps that’s where that comes from.

Anyway, it’s exquisite stuff, like spiderwebbed glass. And the rest of the poetry and prose in the issue is terrific as well.
