Humble Endings

1 Nov

It’s no lie or secret that all of us here at Vouched are writers as much as we are readers. And I’m stoked to offer up this poem from contributor Tyler Gobble (It’s truly pronounced “GAH-ble,” not “GOH-ble.” Who’d’ve thought? I mean, sure, that’s how it’s spelled, but everyone was telling me “GOH-ble.” Now we all know. No more mispronounced confusion.) over at the latest issue of Spooky Boyfriend. It moves and stretches like something wild–there are bears and coyotes, hurricanes and junkies, and this fantastic line and others.

No one is leaving, I can assure you this. The hurricane, the radio said
is coming, grows louder, but no one seems worried, this house safe like
     a deep canyon.

Go read these digs.
